Wrotham is a Specialist Humanities school with English as our lead subject. We value the ability to communicate and develop productive working relations.
The motto ‘Learn to Think, Strive to Know’ reflects our learning values. We achieve our aims with a supportive environment where everyone is valued.
A Wrotham School pupil is motivated, independent, confident and well qualified to take their place in the adult world.
In 2011, 67% of our students gained at least 5 A* - C GCSE grades (including English & Mathematics) exceeding the average performance at both National and Local level. Wrotham is consistently one of the top performing Schools in Kent. This impressive result continues the expeditious improvement in this key measure and is testament to the hard work of our students and the dedication and excellence of our teaching staff.
This result confirms and consolidates the judgement of the lead Ofsted inspector who, in an open letter to all our students, said:
“I believe you have every right to be proud of being a student at Wrotham, and it is indeed a good school that is improving year on year.”
